My first Universal Geneve Polerouter.
At first, I thought this was just regular casual dressy swiss watch with no date and so on.
I mesmerized by the beauty inside. The movement for sure is a charm.
Still
shine and clean inside even though the dial was aging, but I would say
this dial also a beauty. For some people they call it "tropical" dial but
I would call it "moon face" watch.
I think I'm really lucky to have this watch because finding it one right now is even harder now.
The
next lucky thing for me was that I found the original bracelet from
other watch seller. So I could say that this is the complete Universal
Geneve from the 1950-60's.
This
one is the patent pending version of the Polerouter microrotor
movement. It means that this movement was build and sell before they got
patent of the microrotor movement at that time.
You can read how tough and how collectible this watch in some other watch forum.
For me, this watch is my "poor man Patek Phillipe watch" with same idea of microrotor movement and same designer Gerald Genta.
